How mindful and compassionate leaders are more efficient
This is a 45 mins talk on existing research but also personal experience on teaching leaders to be more mindful. We explain how leaders in organisations can take care of themselves, improve their concentration with mindfulness and develop skills of compassion for themselves and others in their work place. The session will include a short mediation and a QnA for people to delve in to the experience of gaining the skills of mindfulness to become better leaders.
Dr Natasha Papazafeiropoulou – Mindfulness mediation expert
With PhD studies in computer science and teaching experience at Brunel University, London I was introduced and practiced Buddhist meditation at the West London Buddhist center, since 2004. In 2011 I joined the teachers training program at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) and got certified as a mindfulness meditation facilitator. Since then I teach mindfulness in large organisations, universities, small groups and the wider public in Europe, USA and Asia. Since 2018 I live and work in Athens, Greece were I teach mindfulness to groups and individuals, while organizing meditation and yoga retreats in the Greek islands. I love teaching mindfulness in any setting and still amazed of the immediate and powerful effects of meditation to our mental health and well-being.
